Kommentar/Beschreibung

The colloquium helps Master students to hone their research skills, to identify suitable oral exam topics, formulate research questions, and organise a mental structure (concept map) around their exam topic(s). Towards the end of term, students are practically and supportively prepared for their oral exam performance by mock exams. However, the course format is open and flexible to participants’ needs and wishes. You also do not need to be in my class in order to take this colloquium. Primary students are also welcome.

The course features a self-reflective session about academic skills, a Research Workshop “English Databases” in the BLB (Wed 29 October, 12:00, for those who want to freshen up), individual consultations for research questions, mock exams, group and individual feedback, general tips and handouts regarding exam procedures and organization, and topics on demand.

The 2 CPs are earned by regular active participation.
